Account Deletion

How to delete your account

Deletion is built into the app and the website — no need to contact support.

• In the app: More → Settings → "Delete account", then confirm the action
• On the website: Profile → "Delete account" block at the bottom of the page
• You will be asked to type the word DELETE — a safeguard against accidental taps
• If you own a club or an active tournament, transfer ownership or delete it first (the app will tell you exactly what is in the way)
• Can't sign in? Email hello@playtennis.by from the address linked to your account — we will delete it manually within 30 days

What we delete

After we process your request, we delete or anonymize:

• Your sign-in account (email, OAuth link to Google/Apple)
• Profile: name, avatar, city, skill level and settings
• Personal contacts and notification preferences
• Coach reviews posted under your name
• Tournament entries where you are listed as a player
• Open matches and applications you created

What may be retained

Some data cannot be fully erased without breaking platform integrity or legal requirements:

• Completed match results and rating (Elo) history — in anonymized form, with no link to your name or email
• Tournament records you took part in — without personal data, only to preserve final draw results
• Technical logs and anonymized analytics — with no identifiers that could restore your profile
• Data we must keep by law (e.g. accounting or tax records) — minimum necessary amount and retention period

Processing time

Deletion through the app or the website happens immediately and automatically. Email requests (when you cannot sign in) are acknowledged within a few business days and completed within 30 calendar days of confirming your identity.

After deletion

Your account cannot be restored — returning to the platform requires a new registration. If you also used the Telegram bot, disconnect it in Telegram settings or email us and we will unlink the bot from the deleted profile.
